Y’all know I’m a book blogger. Not by trade, though that would be freaking amazing. But did you know I’m also an author?
Right now I have a short story: The Witch’s Touch and a collection of three short stories: Vox Saeth: The Voice of Seven that I published in 2018 and 2019 respectively. (You can find a reference to them in the My Books section of this website). Small stuff, nothing major but I really enjoyed writing them and they’ve done OK review-wise.
For the last few months I’ve been writing my first full-length novel and a few days ago, I finally got the book cover finalised. So, literally because I can’t contain my excitement anymore, I’m going to reveal it right here, right now!
Scorpio’s Grace follows Freya, a druid who has spent the last twelve years hiding from a monster. Gregory Kander, one of the world’s most notorious power-traffickers, is set on capturing her once more. Determined to find out why, Freya pulls rank with her fellow escapees and a old flame, Elijah, to challenge the supernatural black market mogul and end his tyrannical reign.
Here’s the masterpiece!
At this point, it’s essential I give a shout-out to my cover artist: Kellie Arts. If you’re an author, you’ll know all the super-talented cover artists are usually booked up the wazoo for two years or more. Kellie Arts is a currently undiscovered talent and I guarantee it won’t be long before she’s got a bookings list the length of her arm. So if you’re an author looking for a good cover artist, I couldn’t recommend her more. On top of being crazy talented, she’s also super easy to work with and super patient.
Oh, I can’t resist! Here’s the blurb, too!
“Dark and dangerous things are hidden in Freya Aldana’s past. After twelve years on the run, they are coming for her. A druid with coveted powers, Freya is wanted by the most influential power-trafficking mogul in the supernatural black market: Gregory Kander.
Accompanied by her old flame and two fellow escapees, Freya investigates Paris’ magic exclusion zones and London’s back streets to discover what Kander has planned for her. Her freedom at stake, she turns to the Goddess Scorpio to grant her the strength to defeat her enemies and protect her young daughter. However, Scorpio has greater gifts in mind for her steadfast loyalty.”
I’ve been waiting to release my first novel for a long time and I’m so excited it’s finally happening!
Scorpio’s Grace is hitting the shelves on 9th November and trust me, I’ll be raving about it in the months leading up to the release date. Because I’m just so gosh-darned excited!
I hope you love this book cover as much as I do and I’ll be sure to keep you updated on the lead-up to the release. There will be some cool stuff going on for sure!
Thanks for reading!
