#1 in the Urban Fantasy Charts

What’s #1 in the Urban Fantasy Charts?

And just like that, we’re back to normal.

This week #1 on the Teen & Young Adult Paranormal & Urban Fantasy chart is Dragonfire Academy yet again (check out our coverage of Dragonfire here). That book really is popular!

The good news is that there are a few new books on the charts for us to check out and I’ve found a beautiful one at #3 this week:

Wicked Omen by Megan Montero

“All my life the only kind of magic I’d ever seen was the sparkling jewels on fifth avenue. On the night of my sixteenth birthday all hell breaks loose, and by hell I mean me! I never felt power like this, so dark, so tempting, so out of my control! No one is safe around me. And now I’m being thrown into Warwick Academy.

An academy for the darker side of magic. . .the warlock side.

My captor, my savior, and the bane of my existence, Beckett Dust insists on keeping me here even though we can’t stand each other. I don’t care how drop dead gorgeous he is or that he rules the school like he owns it, I need to stay as far away from him as I can. His deepest desire is to turn me into a weapon in the great war to come. My deepest desire is . . .him. There’s a thin line between love and hate and right now I’m walking it.”

As ever, academy books are everywhere on the charts right now and it shows now signs of slowing down any time soon. But this one looks good due in no small part to the witchy/warlocky themes here.

Sometimes I love to go back to basics and read all about witching-wizarding schools. My inner child is still freaking out over Harry Potter, so this one looks great.

It feels like there’s an element of bully romance in this book too, maybe a dark Edward Cullen type love interest. The blurb is a real tease for the romance!

Where can I get it?

Wicked Omen is really recently released (literally yesterday) so it’s currently only available in e-book format. Personally, I’ll be holding out for the paperback in the next few weeks, hopefully sooner!

If you want to check this book out, here’s the Amazon link a-right here.

Thanks for reading!
