All this reading and writing is taking it’s toll. So, in a moment of madness, I signed up to the gym. Don’t get me wrong, I love exercising, but in my city you basically have to sell a kidney to afford it. On an unrelated note, I’m taking a list of future kidney donors just in case. Feel free to volunteer.
Sure, it’s more popular to work out before summer but in my mind it makes more sense to lose weight before Christmas for some guilt-free face-stuffing. But honestly, I’ve spent so much time in the chair preparing for Scorpio’s Grace and drafting new projects that I really need to take my health more seriously.
The only downside about working out is that it leaves my mind free to wander for an hour or two and I feel so unproductive. So, I’m thinking about ways to feel less like it’s wasted time, which is actually crazy because it’s exercise. It’s like eating vegetables, it can’t be wasted if it’s good for you. Some days I think I need a new brain.
Anyway, I’m going to take my Kindle to the gym and read a few chapters of a cool book while I’m on the cycling machine. It feels like a good way to get some extra reading done as half of my reading is done on the computer. But I love my Kindle.
In other news, in the next week I’ll be unveiling a cool new project I’m involved in with several other authors. It’s long-term, hard work and hopefully, totally worth the effort. I don’t want to make The Secret Library too much about my projects, I’m aiming for showing you guys a diverse range of books, reviews and topics. But I’m human, I get excited. Hopefully all my projects are of interest to you in any case!
