Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I met loads of awesome, new indie authors last week and I’ve been browsing through their backlists and buying their books left, right and centre. So, I’ve put a lot of new books on my “to-be-read” pile in the last few days!
I’ve met all these authors through several takeovers on Facebook and naturally, everyone is showing their books off at these events. It’s hard to say no to so many amazing covers and tantalising blurbs.
This week’s featured book is by one of these newly discovered authors, Charlotte Brice who writes reverse harem and horror stories. I’ve heard good things about both from her readers so this seemed like a no-brainer purchase.
“When Heather finds her memories suddenly gone, she is alone and being chased. That is until four handsome strangers come to her rescue and invite her into their home and their lives.
But all is not as it seems, these men have secrets they would rather keep hidden, but there’s something about Heather that stops them keeping their secrets, or their hands, to themselves.
When the sexual longing hits the roof, it seems Heather had a secret or two of her own, secrets she couldn’t tell even if she wanted to.
Can Heather fix these broken men and give them a reason to live once more, or will her dreams become shattered like her saviours?”

This one is a reverse harem with vampires but I’m seeing a dragon on the cover too which I am super intrigued by! I’m a little bit dragon-obsessed to say the least. Broken Dreams is doing pretty well review-wise, too. Apart from the one inevitable 1-star review that most books will get regardless of the quality. But one 1-star out of 24 is a pretty good ratio for me.
Reverse harem is definitely a guilty pleasure for me and I try to keep a balanced reading pile but after this week, the reverse harems have definitely built up a bit. Still, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea so I plan to space them out a bit in the next few months so we’ve got some standard urban fantasies up for reviews and features. In any case, this reverse harem seems like a good start. One way or the other, I’ll be reviewing this one soon!
If Broken Dreams looks like your kind of read, here’s the link.
Thanks for reading!
