I finished yet another Kat Ross book this week and again I was blown away. (Yesterday’s review of A Bad Breed is up if you want to read it).
The last few months have seen me experimenting with a lot of indie authors I’d never really heard of before so it’s been nice to start the new year with books that are from more familiar authors. So Kat Ross has taken top billing and I plan to get more of her books from every series as soon as I get paid. (January is a looooong month).
Now I’ve finished A Bad Breed, I decided to start reading a book that I’ve had on my TBR pile for literally a year and have been desperate to read. From another author I can’t stop reading, Emma Hamm, my latest read is Bride of the Sea.
I first fell in love with the works of Emma Hamm when I read her book Heart of the Fae and shortly after, it’s sequel Veins of Magic. Beauty and the Beast retellings strike again! She is a spectacular writer and I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of her books.
I’m definitely going to dedicate some time to the indie books that have been sent to me as soon as I’ve finished Bride of the Sea but I just couldn’t leave it any longer. And although I want to branch out and read as many new authors as possible, I’m going to commit to reading through all the books of my absolute favourite indies.
Don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of variety in the book reviews because it wouldn’t be a great feature if there were only the same authors week in, week out. So, I’ll keep it varied while still getting to read some of the greats on my TBR pile.
Here’s to a 2020 full of cracking reads!
Thanks for reading!
