So little reading done this week and it doesn’t feel good. It’s like trying to wake up in the morning without coffee, you feel like something’s missing. But I have a ridiculous amount of good news this week to make up for the lack of reading…Darkness Rising hit the USA Today Bestseller list at #127 yesterday!
I know I’ve been inundating you with Darkness Rising posts the last few weeks but all our hard work has paid off and now me and my set mates are USA Today Bestselling authors!
That’s good news nugget number one – and the biggest, as it’s been 9 months in the making – but I’ve also received a second piece of good news soon after learning we got our USAT letters:
Some lovely soul has nominated me for “Favourite Blogger” in the Book Fanatics Awards 2020. Whoever it was, if you are reading this, thank you so much for nominating me, it means so much to know that you enjoy this blog.
If you’d like to vote for me in the “Favourite Blogger” category, you can vote at this link. I’d hugely appreciate any votes!
Even though everything that has happened this week has been amazing and wonderful, it has strengthened my feelings about the need for a break. When you’re in the middle of a project that you’re dedicating most of your time and passions to, it’s easy to forget to press pause.
Now the madness is over, it’s time to re-group, have some downtime and create a plan for what comes next. This means making more time for reading and creating a structure that includes taking a breather. I know I say this a lot but working on the boxed set meant a lot of unpredictable things happening: last minute collaborations, switching around newsletter orders and doing tasks you had no idea you had to do. It was spontaneous to say the least!
So, time to take five and get things together. This week I’m going to focus on reading and organising so that there’s plenty more book-related things to talk about in the next few weeks.
Again, thank you all for your support with Darkness Rising, you all rule!
Thanks for reading!
