I was really excited when I saw that Drawing Dead by S.M. Reine is currently free because this is an awesome read!
S.M. Reine has created her own niche in the urban fantasy sub-genre and it’s not only insanely popular but incredibly well-written.
I read Drawing Dead a few years ago but for some reason didn’t put a review up on The Secret Library. Still for the life of me can’t figure out why because I loved this book. There’s still a good chance I did review and post it up here just without the tags I needed to find it. If not, I’m going to do another re-read and actually review it on this blog because it deserves a spotlight. Goodness knows S.M. Reine is doing absolutely brilliantly without my help though!
“The vampire slayer is turning into a vampire? Over her dead body.
Dana McIntyre has been bitten by a master vampire. She’s infected with the venom. And after killing hundreds of vampires to keep Las Vegas safe, she’d rather die than turn.
There might be a cure. But the only way to get it is through Nissa Royal, a vampire with close ties to the masters of Las Vegas. Nissa is dangerous — too dangerous to be allowed to live, much less work alongside.
But if Dana dies, vampires win Vegas. If she doesn’t die, she becomes one of the bloodless. The cure’s her only chance. In this deadly game of hold ’em, Dana’s drawing dead, and whatever happens next, there’s no changing her losing hand. Dana only knows one thing: If she’s going down, she’s taking as many vampires as possible on her way out…”

Drawing Dead is available for free right now on the two sites I’ve checked which are the USA and UK Amazon sites. Which strongly suggests that it’s also available free across all other countries.
I truly recommend this book even if it wasn’t free but it is, so grab your copy if it looks like your cup of tea!
Thanks for reading!
