The Secret Library is coming up to its three year anniversary. Still not entirely sure when it is, all I know is it’s coming!
It still seems impossible that the blog has been around for that long, as it only started out as a means to share thoughts and opinions on the books I read. But The Secret Library has connected me with budding indie authors that I really want to follow and who I think deserve more attention than they are getting.
Review requests have always been fairly steady and among them have been some really entertaining books. Much of the time, the ARCs that got good reviews had the authors coming back with requests to review the sequels. Naturally, I jump at the chance and this is one of those times.
“Sometimes I loved her. Sometimes I hated her. Sometimes I was her and wanted to die.
Falon’s mind is broken. Sarilla returned his memories to him, but in doing so, she fractured him into the man he was before she took them and the man he became after they were stolen. He’s fighting to rejoin his two halves, but locked up in the prison below the palace with his neck already fitted for the hangman’s noose, time is quickly running out.
But it’s more than just Falon’s memories that are fighting for control of his mind. So are those of the memory thief who caused all his problems in the first place. Sarilla. The woman half of him loves, but the other half hates.
Her memories have stained his eyes black, causing everyone to fear what Falon has become. He needs to find a way out of this mess, but it’s not going to be easy. Especially since all three of the people in his head have very different plans for how to go about it.”

As you can see, Scars of Cereba doesn’t yet have a book cover but I’m still really looking forward to reading this one. I read and reviewed the first book in this series, Last Memoria a little under a year ago. In short, it was hauntingly beautiful.
A few weeks ago I got an e-mail from author Rachel Emma Shaw asking if I would like to review book two and of course I said yes. The book cover for Last Memoria being as beautiful as it was, I can only imagine book two is going to look gorgeous.
Still unsure if this series is going to be a duology or longer but I’ll read whatever comes next!
Thanks for reading! Did you know I also write urban fantasy books? Check them out here!
