The new release feature is slowly rising from the dead, and goodness knows I know enough people who are publishing a book this year to fill out the schedule a bit.
This pandemic has boosted online book sales a great deal across the traditional and publishing industries. So it wouldn’t surprise me if 2021 was the year everyone decided to go ahead and publish that novel of theirs. Good news for us readers!
This week’s new release is a little bit different to our usual urban fantasy fare:
“Carmen Bleu and Hester Razzlebaum have been best friends since preschool. When tragedy strikes the Bleu Pop Shop, Hester invites Carmen to set up her soda shop in a small corner of Razzlebaums, a wildly popular 1950’s style diner. Trouble follows Carmen, though, and before long Hester finds her own business in jeopardy. Through Hester’s uncanny ability to speak with the dead, she discovers that there’s something more than carbonic acid and high fructose corn syrup behind Carmen’s signature BleuRazz soda pop.
Hester must figure out Carmen’s secret before Razzlebaums fizzles out, and they both end up bankrupt, maybe even dead…or worse.”

I’m getting some seriously southern vibes from this book, and I’m noticing that magical confectionary shops are really starting to infiltrate the indie book world. Magic tea shops, cake shops and now soda shops – I see a new fad in the making.
Bleu Pops & Razzlebaums is due to hit shelves tomorrow, so if this looks like your kind of book, get your orders in on the pre-order price. This book will also be available in paperback if you’re looking for new books to pretty up your bookshelf. For the first time in forever, I have a lot of room on my bookshelf and it’s just so sad seeing it so empty.
Thanks for reading! Did you know I also write urban fantasy books? Check them out here!
