I am back in the ARC game, with three on my list so far. Given the way I’m now flaunting The Secret Library a lot more than I used to, that number will hopefully rise! Does this mean I now have an effective organisational system for all the ARCs I read? Of course not.
One of the books I’m going to read shortly is by Australian author Charlotte Brice and co-author Ashley Donajkowski:
“After finished at the superhero academy, Tim is keen to start his apprenticeship with superhero and millionaire Richard Huntington. He sets out to prove himself the ideal long term sidekick. But after a dismal start against the supervillain DarkFire, and a chance encounter with a billionaire art critic, Tim has to wonder if he is cut out to be a hero at all.
Lines between heroes and villains become blurred as external factors threaten Tim’s every chance at a future.”

This book is going to take my virginity in two ways: superheroes and MM romance. I’ve never read either in novel form before and I’ve got to say, I’m excited to see how this book opens my eyes. In fairness, I had no idea MM romance superhero novels were a thing. But in the world we live in today, with indie publishing taking off and opening up all sorts of genres that were unthinkable before 2010, it’s actually no surprise.
Not so secretly, I’m hoping that I will become a super-fan of this genre and the authors who wrote it. This is by far my favourite way to discover new authors, by having them drop into my inbox with one of their first books and to fall in love with their writing. Although, Charlotte Brice is fairly prolific, so this is by no means her first rodeo!
Thanks for reading! Did you know I also write urban fantasy books? Check them out here!
