Doom and gloom is all well and good in fiction. Happy endings are in abundance in books, so no matter how bad things get, we can always count on closing a book with a light heart. Well, maybe half of the time.
However, this is not so for post apocalyptic storylines! Society has fallen, and no matter how good things get for the protagonist, they aren’t going to be curling up on the sofa watching TV when their story is over. These books are emotional rollercoasters, and an eye-opening possibility of what life could be like after the fall of civilisation.
It’s such good stuff that there’s a giveaway for this genre!
This giveaway has some great prizes, including paperback copies of The Stand, by Steven King, Never Let Me Go, by Kazuo Ishiguro, Wool, by Hugh Howey, and Station Eleven, by Emily St. John Mandel. Other swag includes a Skynet magnet, a Fallout board game, a Mad Max notebook, a Borderlands Lilith Funko Pop, and a black skull candle.
This is actually pretty huge even for a Courtney Cannon giveaway!
Go to the giveaway page on Courtney’s website at this link to enter. Remember, you can enter more than once, and there’s plenty of time left on the clock, so you could really rack up your entries.
