If you’ve followed this blog for a while, you will know about the recent changes in my professional life, but if you’re new, here’s the run-down. I’ve decided to take a crack at full-timing it as an author, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. So far, I’m really enjoying the process and working hard to learn everything I need to, to run a small business.
This does all take quite a lot of time, and I’ve had to start thinking about how to apportion my time and which areas need more of my attention. Naturally, this means I’ve given some thought to what perhaps isn’t the best use of my time.
I will be doing this blog for the foreseeable future because I really enjoy it. It helps me keep on a reading schedule, allows me to document my experiences as an author with anxiety and as a newly full-time self-published author, and provides a free platform for people in the fantasy genre to showcase their books.
I love this blog, and I’m going to keep at it, but I’ve decided that the What’s On My TBR Pile segment of the blog, which usually runs on Mondays, will have to be axed. Usually, I read and review the books I put up on this segment anyway, so it sometimes feels like I’m repeating myself and really, the best part is the review anyway.
So Mondays and Tuesdays will now be silent on The Secret Library, so that I’ve got a bit more time to focus on my books. Reviews on Wednesday, a little confessional on Thursday, giveaways/free books on Friday, new releases (when they come up) on Saturdays, and The Anxious Author on Sunday will still be going strong.
