It doesn’t matter how much I schedule my life, something will derail it. Whether it’s as little as a migraine, or as big as taking your partner to the emergency room. Both at the same time was a fun coincidence for me the other day.
Long story short, food poisoning got my husband bad, and the doctor recommended a trip to the emergency room. We waited around for ten hours in a crowded waiting room to get the medication he needed. All we have concluded from this is that we had best not have any other emergencies for the rest of our lives, because there is a good chance it’ll be the end of us.
Such is the state of the UK at the moment, which is approximately as depressing as the rest of the world. So, am I really in any state to complain? Probably not, but it’s a heavy weight to bear nonetheless. Of course not made any easier by over twenty-four hours of wakefulness, which will put anyone in a bad mood.
This has put a bit of a spanner in the works of my schedule, but it had to be done, so after the progress I made catching up I’m now a little behind again. That being said, I have the cover for Valkyrie Bitten, the sixth book in The Rogue Valkyrie series!
This is the penultimate cover for the series, which has hit me so hard because this is my first long-running series that I will actually finish. Of course, it’s had me thinking about all the infinite possibilities of what to do after this series, but it’s also sad that at some point soon I will have to say goodbye to Rowan and Nate’s story.
Creating this series has been an incredible experience for me and it’s sad to think it will end. But, I am truly excited to see what comes next. So long as there are no more family emergencies involved.
